The
education programs offered by the UCSF Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care have a long history of excellence. Dedicated to education, our faculty implement creative and innovative pedagogical strategies and one-on-one mentoring so that all kinds of learners can get the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to progress and excel. This May, they held a day-long education retreat at the
UCSF Mission Bay campus. Sponsored by
Professor Kristina Sullivan, MD, the
Sol Shnider Endowed Chair for Anesthesia Education, the retreat included a
Residency and
Fellowship Program self-study group, led by Department of Medicine expert
Dr. Katherine Julian, a round-table update on the current programming for the
School of Medicine Anesthesia Clerkship Program, moderated by its
Director, Dr. Kristine Breyer, education project planning for the
Anesthesia Residency,
Fellowships, and
Clerkships, and a session on education scholarship led by guest moderators
Christy Boscardin, PhD,
Patricia O’Sullivan, EdD, and
