Anesthesia Simulator

Simulation at UCSF

The Center for Health Care Simulation was established in April 2000 by Manuel Pardo, MD, and Tin-na Kan, MD, supported by the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. Since then it has moved several times and has been updated with new equipment, an effort led by Adam Collins, MD. It currently resides in the Currin Carlisle Learning Center in Building 30 at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. A move to the new state-of-the-art UCSF Research and Academic Building is planned for 2023. The anesthesia faculty run courses that facilitate the training of medical students, residents, fellows and board certified anesthesiologists. Vincent Lew, MD, an anesthesiologist at ZSFG directs the center with the administrative help of Courtney Carter and Charleen Yson.
