Simulation at UCSF
The Center for Health Care Simulation was established in April 2000 by the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care and was assembled and launched by Manuel Pardo MD, and Tin-na Kan MD. Since then it has moved several times and has been updated with new equipment. It currently resides in the Currin Carlisle Learning Center in Building 30 at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. The anesthesia faculty and fellows run courses supporting the learning of medical students, residents, fellows and board certified anesthesiologists. Adam Collins MD, an anesthesiologist at ZSFG directs the center with the administrative help of Patrick Diaz.
