As our Chief of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at ZSFG, Dr. Romain Pirracchio, so eloquently stated, "Many of the 70+ criteria for award designation emphasized the importance of the multi-disciplinary team-based approach to patient care.  While this is an award for excellence in Obstetric Anesthesia, it actually represents a culmination of efforts by all Birth Center team members including OB providers, OB nursing staff, Neonatology, Pharmacy and many others. We would like to thank all current and former members of the Birth Center Leadership Committee and to all providers and staff hospital-wide that strive to provide excellent maternal care."
