Welcome Elliott Wollner, MBBS, 2018-2019 Global Health Anesthesia Fellow

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Elliot Wollner as a Visiting Health Sciences Clinical Instructor and Non-ACGME Global Health Fellow.

Dr. Wollner received his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2008. He concurrently completed a Bachelors of Arts, majoring in history and with interests in political science and creative writing. A semester of this was completed on exchange at Pennsylvania State University. 

In 2009, he completed an internship at Western Health in Melbourne, Australia.

He completed two years of pediatrics training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, before changing career paths to critical care and anesthesia in 2012. He completed his anesthesia training from 2012-2018 at hospitals including Royal Melbourne, The Austin, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Royal Women’s and Royal Children’s Hospitals.

During his training, Dr. Wollner moved to NYC to complete a Masters of Public Health at Columbia University, focusing on Global Health and Research. He is passionate about health and human rights, environmental justice, environmental determinants of health and accountability in humanitarian aid.
