According to a study published in the BMC Medical Education Journal in 2016 (Adams LV. 2016 Nov 21:16(1):296), “achieving equity in global health education and practice ought to be central to our mission as educators and advisors when preparing trainees for careers in this field.” We are pleased to announce a new internship opportunity at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG), for trainees with interest in health disparities. This internship will educate students about health disparities and building equitable global health partnerships. Interns will have weekly mentorship meetings and will participate in at least one global health project. Visiting speakers will provide education on a number of global health topics. The first internship class will begin this summer, 2019.
