Department Lunches Celebrate Pride and Juneteenth

Juneteenth and Pride themed cookies

Anesthesia and Perioperative Care department members celebrated the Pride and Juneteenth holidays last month, with themed lunches held at the UCSF Parnassus, Mission Bay, Mount Zion, and Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) campuses! To help celebrate, Pride flags and Juneteenth bracelets were available to all. Mateo Ortiz Ambrosio, new assistant clinical research coordinator in the department, is pictured at the ZSFG event holding his lunch in front of a Juneteenth sign. Also pictured are the Juneteenth and Pride themed cookies that were available. Romain Pirracchio, MD, PhD, chief of Anesthesia at ZSFG, below, waves a Pride flag in front of a Happy Juneteenth banner. We hope that these events helped to raise awareness while bringing our people together.
