We are delighted to announce the appointment of Marla Ferschl, MD, as director of Fetal Anesthesia, effective September 1, 2017. Ferschl is an associate professor of anesthesia and perioperative care, and has been an integral member of the fetal anesthesia team. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago, followed by residency training at UCSF. She then completed a pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to her clinical practice in pediatric anesthesiology, Ferschl serves as fellowship director for our ACGME Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship at the Benioff Children’s Hospital. She will succeed Mark Rollins, who is moving to the University of Utah.
