Team Members and Roles

Jannot Ross – Administrative Director

  • Oversees all aspects of trainee education with a focus on ACGME programs.

     

Bernadette Martin – Education Team Supervisor

  • Process Manages education coordinators, onboarding/offboarding, residency and fellowship scheduling, lectures, and recruitment.
  • Handles ACGME site visits and reporting, along with reporting to the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).

     

Sara Murphy – Education Coordinator

  • Coordinates resident onboarding/offboarding, recruitment, events, stipends, meal cards, intern schedules, and licensing.

     

Cindy Chin – Education Coordinator, Residency Program

  • Manages residency scheduling, lecture coordination, and trainee onboarding at CHO/Kaiser.

     

Deanna Seid – CME Administrator

  • Oversees CME activities, faculty development, reimbursements, and payroll assistance.

     

Justin Aquino – ZSFG Education Coordinator

  • Manages educational activities at ZSFG, DEI/Wellness initiatives, and SimLab oversight.

     

Marie Lim – Finance Analyst

  • Prepares financial reports, reconciles ledgers, budgeting, procurement, and monitors stipends and payroll.

     

Trianelle Narte – Education Coordinator

  • Monitors evaluations, maintains case log data, processes verification requests and resident and fellow licensure.

 

Vasilis Tabakis – Student Administrator Lead

  • Administers CORE anesthesia clerkships and all elective education programs for medical students.

     

Nicol Laura - Fellowship Education Coordinator

  • Supports Pain, Pediatric, OB, and Regional fellowships, including scheduling and evaluations.

 

Katherine Brogan - Fellowship Education Coordinator

  • Supports Critical Care Medicine and Cardiac fellowships, manages lectures and additional ICU learner programs, and fellow moonlighting.

     

Janine Roberts – Special Projects and Recruitment Specialist

  • Handles candidate selection, compliance, and coordination of all fellowship and residency recruitment efforts. Manages the Residency Program Evaluation Committee, and provides mentorship for education coordinators.

Anesthesia Education Team Overview

Scope of Responsibilities

The Anesthesia Education Team at UCSF is dedicated to managing the comprehensive educational framework for academic learners within the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. This encompasses:

  • Recruitment and appointment of learners.
  • Onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Payroll and financial management.
  • Organization of educational sessions.
  • Scheduling and monitoring academic progress.
  • Evaluation of learners across all affiliated sites, including UCSF, ZSFG, the VA, and CHO.

The team operates on a cyclical annual calendar, with tasks recurring at set times each year.
