Biography Bernadette is the Associate Director of Education, supporting the strategic and operational leadership of the department’s Graduate Medical Education programs, with a focus on residency and fellowship training. She oversees education coordinators and key administrative functions, including onboarding and offboarding, scheduling, educational conferences, and accreditation activities. Bernadette plays a central role in ACGME site visits and reporting and ensures accurate, timely reporting to the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). She works closely with the Director of Education, Program Directors, and departmental leadership to enhance educational operations and maintain compliance, bringing a collaborative, learner-centered approach to supporting high-quality training. Her role includes oversight across the Anesthesia Education Team, encompassing: Supervision and support of education coordinators Appointment and onboarding/offboarding of residents and fellows Residency and fellowship scheduling Coordination of educational conferences and lectures Monitoring trainee progress and compliance requirements Leadership of ACGME accreditation activities and reporting Oversight of ABA reporting and compliance Coordination across affiliated training sites, including UCSF, ZSFG, the VA, and CHO Role Staff Category Education
