This is the study of the effect of anesthetics on neuroinflammatory response and outcomes in SCI. Our recent publication demonstrates the effect of dexmedetomidine (DEX) on modulating neuroinflammation and improving functional recovery after SCI (Gao et al, BJA 2019). We continue to focus on the unique mechanism of anesthetic effect in neurotrauma.
