Overview This study investigates the association of the cross-sectional area of the rectus femoris muscle as measured by point-of-care ultrasound and postoperative outcomes in patients who undergo deceased-donor kidney transplantation. We hypothesized that patients with lower muscle mass have poorer short-term outcomes.
