Overview NIRSIT project is developing a near infrared spectrophotometer that is able to measure pre-frontal cortex blood flow at 30 frames per second. This device can monitor function of the prefrontal cortex. We are testing the NIRSIT device for it's ability to detect and monitor the severity of depression. Patients are enrolled in a clinical trial where response to ketamine or ECT therapy is assessed.
