Overview The PCRRT (Perioperative Cardiac Risk Reduction Therapy) study does epidemiologic analysis of surgical care in the VA. The database has 30-million patients and 9 million live patients receiving care. This database has been used for drug development, outcomes assessment, covid drug discovery, PTSD drug discovery, and other outcomes research. A national quality improvement program (VA_AnesQIP) will analyze this data for nation-wide quality improvement in the VA.
