Overview The Sall Lab has a longstanding interest in the physiology of high altitude and adaptation to it. We completed Phase 2 and Phase 3 trials with a medication to prevent altitude illness and, in the process, collected extensive physiologic data from a wide range of subjects, as well as samples from many of them. We are interrogating the effects of this acute exposure to high altitude on gene expression and other physiologic parameters, including cardiac conduction and sleep. These projects are ongoing!
