Joanna Times

Joanna leads the Administrative Support and Operations team within the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. Her team consists of 15 skilled professionals who are essential in delivering superior administrative, facilities, and event management support to the department’s 600+ personnel. 

In her role, Joanna is responsible for both long-term and short-term strategic planning in administration and operations. She directs and coordinates key administrative projects, including those related to process improvement and as well as streamlining services for the department. In this work, she oversees the coordination of efforts across multiple geographic locations and manages high-level administration of site-specific, faculty-led initiatives. 

Joanna is a Bay Area native and has been a dedicated member of the UCSF community since 2009. Outside of her professional life, Joanna spends her downtime engaging in her favorite activities such as reading and taking leisurely walks to Lands End. She also shares her home with two beloved cats, Reg and Celeste.
