Biography Isabel is the Coordinator on the Opportunity and Impact team. Working closely with Director Leah Pimentel and Vice Chair Odi Ehie, she supports a culture of well-being, belonging, and employee engagement through events like Bring Your Kid to Work Day; programs such as SCORE; speaker series including Tea with Honey (Mahogany); and trainings like Unconscious Bias and Allyship. Her career has centered on empowering employees to do their best work. She joined UCSF in January 2025. Previously, she worked in HR and learning and development consulting in biotech and tech start-ups, as well as recruiting at a tech company. She also held internships at Genentech on the Site Services team, focusing on the social aspects of shared workspaces. If you want to get her talking, ask about her thesis on reciprocity and social class in off-campus student housing and roommate relationships. Isabel was born and raised in San Francisco and earned her BA in Sociology, with a certificate in Social Research, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Commonwealth Honors College.
