Fernando Valadez

Fernando handles administrative duties for both Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, and Mission Bay. Serving as the main point of contact for Oakland inquires, Fernando primarily focused on assisting the Chiefs of Pediatric Anesthesia, while also assisting the other Anesthesia faculty members. General duties range from calendaring, troubleshooting IT issues and submitting IT tickets, reimbursing multiple types of events and registrations, general clerical duties, and assisting with other ad-hoc requests. He also manages the amenities for the Anesthesia lounge at Oakland, ensuring faculty members have everything they need to do their work and also have what they need for when they need to unwind.

Fernando has been a part of UCSF since 2023. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay), he has lived in California his entire life. Fernando enjoys leathercrafting, acting, going to live shows and events that are alternative in nature, goth nights, playing Dungeons & Dragons and Riftbound.
