Pediatric Anesthesia

Our pediatric anesthesia team cares for pediatric patients at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco, and UCSF Benioff Children's Pediatric Outpatient Surgery Center at Walnut Creek. Our specialized team has expertise in caring for pediatric patients. We also have faculty with subspecialty training in pediatric cardiac anesthesia and pediatric pain. Together, we provide over 15,000 anesthetics annually for infants and children across our 3 campuses. We also are a fellowship training site for pediatric anesthesia and pediatric cardiac anesthesia.

Visiting Scholars in Pediatric Anesthesia Program

Visiting Scholars in Pediatric Anesthesia Program (ViSiPAP) is a reciprocal pediatric anesthesia exchange program that started in 2017 at UCSF. It has since expanded nationally to include more than 25 pediatric anesthesia divisions.
