UCSF Resident Research Symposium 2019 – Michael Jung, MD, MBA, and Team Win Outstanding Research Project Award

Jina Sinskey, MD, and Michael Jung, MD, MBA with research award

UC San Francisco is driven by the idea that when the best research, the best education and the best patient care converge, great breakthroughs are achieved. The UCSF Resident Research Symposium is a perfect example of this principle - residents are encouraged to bolster their own and their peers’ education by exploring research questions that have arisen from their clinical care. We are pleased to announce that Anesthesia residents Michael Jung, MD, MBA, Justin Libaw, MD, and Kevin Ma, MD, were awarded outstanding research project at the 2019 UCSF Resident Research Symposium, for their presentation: Pediatric Distraction on Induction with Virtual Reality (PEDI-VR): A Randomized Controlled Trial. The project also won first place poster at the recent Western Anesthesia Residents’ Conference (WARC). Jina Sinskey, MD, and John Feiner, MD, served as faculty mentors for the project.
