Anesthesia and Perioperative Care CA1 residents Michael Jung, Steven Hur, and McLean House have been honored with the UCSF Patient Care Fund Award, for their proposal to provide non-pharmacological anxiolysis in the perioperative setting using evidence-based music/media therapy with mobile modules. Working with various staff and coordinators, they are exploring how best to implement the modules. The electrophysiology unit seems particularly interested in the music modules, as those patients can remain unsedated and awake for hours. Reach out to Drs.
