We are delighted to announce that Professor Linda Liu, MD, was amoung four Learning Health System Coaches that successfully completed Lean training and teach back in February 2019, and is now officially recognized as a UCSF Lean Champion! Over the past 3 years, only eight other faculty physicians across the organization have earned this distinction.
Lean teach back is the cumulation of UCSF Health’s most intensive Lean training program, and is a core requirement for LHS Coach Certification. As a part of the evaluation, each coach delivered three oral presentations, and demonstrated a thorough grasp of improvement principles as well as exceptional medical educator skills. Each of these physician leaders are now prepared to co-lead training workshops with our teams and trainees.
Congratulations to Linda, as she is helping to lead the way in role modeling a partnership for supporting and coaching improvement efforts. We cannot wait to see the impact she makes.
