Eula Lewis, BS, RRT, CTTS, AE-C, and Stephanie Tsao, NP, Awarded SFGH Foundation Hearts Grant for 2017

We are pleased to announce that Eula Lewis, BS, RRT, CTTS, AE-C, and Stephanie Tsao, NP, were awarded a Hearts Grant from the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.  Using the Hearts Grant funds, they propose to implement a new GOOD NIGHT Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) Group Medical Visit for the San Francisco Health Network (SFHN). The visit will focus on OSA education, mask-fitting, positive airway pressure (PAP) device principles and operation basics, troubleshooting, maintenance and navigation training to fully leverage DME support resources, including on-line portals showing real-time device usage and adherence. The project’s goal is to maximize resources at ZSFG to help improve patient adherence to PAP therapies, reduce poor health-related outcomes resulting from poorly-treated OSA, and increase referring provider and patient satisfaction. The ZSFG Respiratory Care Services Group is a vital part of patient care at ZSFG in both the outpatient and inpatient arenas.
