The purpose of the Teaching Scholars Program in the UCSF School of Medicine is to “develop education leaders,” building participants’ proficiency in the following categories: learning, teaching, curriculum, assessment, research, leadership and career development. As part of the program, teaching scholars attend weekly four-hour seminars and complete associated readings and assignments, meet with their mentoring group monthly, and complete and present a scholarly project. We are pleased to announce that Assistant Professors Gabriel Sarah, MD, and Maytinee Lilaonitkul, MBBS, BSc, have been selected as Teaching Scholars for the 2019 – 2020 academic year.
