After working in the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital’s (ZSFG) Preoperative Clinic for several years, helping to streamline services, upgrade the physical space, and improve patient satisfaction and outcomes, Dr. Laura Lang has been appointed its medical director. All patients scheduled for surgery at ZSFG are seen in the preoperative clinic, where their medical history is evaluated to ensure their safety during surgery. At their preoperative evaluation appointment, patients’ anesthetic options are also explained in detail, and they have a chance to ask any questions they may have about their upcoming procedure.
