Sponsored by the departments of anesthesia and perioperative care, surgery, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology and otolaryngology, we invite you to join our collaborative grand rounds on August 30th featuring the esteemed Alika Lafontaine, MD, FRCPC, president of the Canadian Medical Association. Appointed in August of 2022, Lafontaine is the first Indigenous physician to serve in this role. He will discuss lessons learned from his experience as the co-lead of Canada’s Indigenous Health Alliance from 2014 to 2017. "Lessons learned from the Indigenous Health Alliance: Canada’s largest Indigenous health transformation project." This event will be hybrid and available to attend in person or via Zoom.
