Anesthesia Virtual Alumni Reunion

Since the pandemic has prevented us from connecting in person over the last year, we’re hoping you can join us for the Anesthesia Alumni Virtual Reunion for our graduates, former faculty, current faculty and trainees, on April 20, 2021, at 5:30pm, PDT (San Francisco time).

Tips for Using the REMO Virtual Event Platform

Connect via Computer

REMO works best on a computer and not on a cellphone. 

Internet Browser

Please use Google Chrome as your browser for best results.

Create a REMO Profile

Before entering the event, you will be asked to create a profile and log in. Please complete this step.

Navigating the Event

Set Up Your Camera and Microphone

1. To set up your camera and headset, select the icon in the top left corner of your screen
2. Select Camera to ensure your computer’s camera is connected and functional
3. Select Microphone to ensure that the headset you are using is connected and functional
4. Select Speaker to ensure that the headset you are using is connected and functional 

 

Upload a Profile Photo

1. To upload a profile photo, select the icon in the top left corner of your screen, and choose, “My Profile”
2. Click the “Edit Profile” button
3. Click the “Change Profile Picture” link
4. Select the photo you’d like to use from your computer’s files, then use the slider to center your face within your profile’s borders
5. Select the check mark to confirm, then click save to save the profile photo

 

Update Other Profile Info

 

• While you are editing your profile photo, you may also choose to update other information in your REMO profile, such as your current company, your website link, etc.

 

Using Your Camera and Microphone During Event

 

1. During the event, you can turn on your camera by clicking the red “Cam Off” link in the bottom toolbar. When your camera is on, this link will say, “Cam On” and will be green
2. Similarly, to turn on your microphone, click the red “Mic Off” link in the bottom toolbar. When your microphone is on, this link will say “Mic On” and will be green

 

Double-Click on a Table to Join a Conversation

• If other people are at your table, you will see and hear them, but if no one is at your table, double click on a table where you can see initials or photos to join a conversation.

 

Visit Different Floors

• If you see numbers at the left of your screen, these are other floors. Click on a number to be taken to that floor

 

Increase Your Screen Size

• Use the Ctrl and + key (on your number line on your keyboard) to increase the screen size if you are having trouble reading it!
